Notice of Intention To Circulate Recall Petition
TO THE HONORABLE MICHAEL HUDSON:
Pursuant to Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voter of the Suisun City, in the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Councilperson, in Suisun City, California, and to demand election of a successor in that office.
The grounds for the recall are as follows:
Councilman Michael Hudson has failed to represent the residents of Suisun City. He has treated citizens of Suisun with disrespect and contempt in public meetings and hearings. This unprofessional attitude and behavior has also been turned on other government representatives offering testimony before the City Council. Hudson, the newest addition to the City Council, has dictatorial attitudes that currently control our City Council. Hudson chairs an organization that has accepted money from a multi-national corporation pursuing approval of a multi-million dollar development project affecting the health and safety of thousands of Suisun residents. When citizens asked him to recuse himself from voting on the project, he refused. He further proposed and voted himself (and his fellow councilmembers) a raise – leaving out city line staff. He has supported raises and bonuses for high paid City managers while again neglecting rank-and-file city workers. He voted to override the Solano County Airport Land Use Commission’s decision to deny development in a Travis AFB safety zone due to safety concerns, exposing the City to the liability of an aircraft crash disaster. He undermined the authority of this important “watchdog commission” that protects Travis AFB from base closure.

Pursuant to Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of the Suisun City, in the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Councilperson and Vice Mayor, in Suisun City, California, and to demand election of a successor in that office.
The grounds for the recall are as follows:
Jane Day has lost touch with the citizens of Suisun and their concerns while promoting the interest of outside developers and multi-national corporations. She has treated citizens’ concerns as unimportant and has failed to represent the interest of the people of Suisun City. As Vice-Mayor she has demonstrated fiscal irresponsibility by increasing senior City staff six-figure salaries, and providing them with lavish bonuses; voting Council members pay raises beyond that of the Council of neighboring Fairfield (a city that is four times larger). She has publicy decried the City’s financial crisis and need for more sales tax revenue by supporting a high-risk big box development project that threatens the health and safety of the residents of Suisun City - exposing Suisun City citizens to excessive traffic, crime, flooding, environmental damage and lower property values. She voted to override the Solano County Airport Land Use Commission’s decision to deny development in a Travis AFB safety zone due to safety concerns, exposing the City to the liability of an aircraft crash disaster. Day’s redevelopment policies have been biased toward Waterfront development while devaluing residential properties by neglecting maintenance of city streets, sidewalks and other infrastructure needs in other Suisun neighborhoods.

TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR PETE SANCHEZ:
Pursuant to Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of the Suisun City, in the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Mayor, in Suisun City, California, and to demand election of a successor in that office.
The grounds for the recall are as follows:
Mayor Pete Sanchez has failed to represent all the citizens of Suisun and has not kept his public campaign promises to oppose a proposed big box development that has negative impacts on the health and safety of residents. Mayor Sanchez has made it clear that he does not consider or value the wishes of constituents who have lived in Suisun for less than “twenty years”. Sanchez supports uncontrolled growth, while neglecting the needs of residents including the repair of streets, sidewalks, maintenance of storm drainage systems in Suisun. He has treated residents with disrespect at public hearings. He voted raises for himself and fellow city councilpersons that exceeds the compensation paid much larger Fairfield elected officials. He has rewarded high-paid City management with raises and bonuses while neglecting the needs of other city workers. He recently voted to override the Solano County Airport Land Use Commission’s decision to deny big box development in a Travis AFB safety zone due to established safety standards. This needlessly exposes the City to the liability of an aircraft crash at the site. His actions also undermine this “watchdog group” that protects Travis from base closure and protects public safety.
